missTANGQ is always seeking ways to maintain a high level of interactivity and audience participation in her work. She facilitates mask-making workshops that use divination to explore archetypes, identity and self-creation, as well as gives talks on her process, influences and approach.
Beyond working with groups, she also does commissioned mask-making work. This process involves a consultation and interview, a reading, and the creation of a custom mask as a sacred object for the individual. The mask can be used as a reminder of the divine essence of the person, an invocation of a future self, or an embodiment of that person's animal totems, spiritual guides and ancestors.
missTANGQ uses masks and divination as tools for self-discovery, identity and archetype exploration. This process facilitates an understanding for participants of their co-creative power in their own mythos and narrative. She believes that these can become navigational tools that provide an internal compass to better understand the self and the universe.
